The story itself was cute, definitely the grump meets sunshine trope, and very Hallmark vibes. This is not a bad thing as I have been using tv and books to avoid the world for a bit. There’s just too many dark things at play, but I digress.  I liked the banter between the characters. I really liked how Brendan talked about Piper, and how Piper was making it a point to fully find herself. When she would walk Al up the stairs each day made me so happy! The descriptions of the sexual content though creeped me out and was very icky for me.  I’m not a prude but there are better ways to describe these things.
