OH EM GEE. THIS BOOK.

This is my first Lena Hendrix book and wow - just wow. It was hot and steamy from nearly the beginning. This is an age-gap romance (11 years) between a US Marshal and a key witness in a major federal case.

Scott is one of the agents that was tasked with protecting Gemma when she arrived at Redemption Ranch. They formed a special bond over many hours playing gin rummy together as he helped piece her back together. But then they got too close & he left without saying goodbye. Four years later and they're calling Gemma to testify & finally put the last of the men behind bars for good.

There's a sweet & spicy cross-country roadtrip from small town Montana to Chicago. Every decision that Scott makes along the way is for Gemma. Including relinquishing his power and submitting to her.

LET ME TELL YOU: Scott's hotness factor increased exponentially when I realized that he submits to her.

But don't let the steam & spice of the first half of the book get to you. This is an emotional rollercoaster of a book! The last 25% had me in tears for so many reasons - good and not so good.

This book is perfect if you like:
- age gap
- brother's best friend
- forced proximity
- forbidden romance
- traveling / cross-country road trip

Thank you so much to Lena Hendrix and Wildfire Marketing for letting me read an ARC in exchange for an honest review!
