You will absolutely fall in love with Asher and Wynter’s love story! You can’t help but fall for the cocky football player, and you can’t help but want to be best friends with Wynter.

Wynter is a by the books, rule following orthopedic surgeon, who 2 years ago, decided she would take the risk and sneak to the VIP section of a club she was celebrating her birthday at. The same VIP section that Asher is celebrating his Super Bowl win at. Asher is the star quarterback and couldn’t help but indulge a little, or a lot, that night. On top of alcohol, he takes muscle relaxers, and to be honest is feeling fantastic. He runs into an intriguing woman with green eyes that just immediately draws him in, like a siren. She just so happens to be Wynter, and the connection between the two is immediate. This connection is so strong and the alcohol and drugs have taken over, to the point that Asher fumbles the condom while trying to figure out why he can’t perform, a promise he made to the green-eyes beauty.

Two years later, the two are brought back together. Asher has taken a few hits as QB1 and is in need of medical advice about his shoulder. And the Coach is requesting none other than Wynter. A first year orthopedic surgical attending, who just so happens to be the mother to a handsome little boy, who is about to be one. But, she cannot for the life of her remember who the guy is that she hooked up with almost 2 years ago in the bathroom. I mean, they didn’t even exchange names or numbers. But, there is a twist, the Coach that is responsible for Asher, just so happens to be Wynter’s biological father, the man who walked out on her mom and her many, many years ago, and was never seen again. The man that left a gaping hole in Wynter’s chest that no one has yet been able to heal. That is, until Asher. Once the two realize who each other are, and it then becomes known, that Asher is the father to Mason, Wynter’s son. But, they have to keep all of it a secret, she isn’t ready to have Mason in the spotlight like that. Wynter is responsible though, to ensure that Asher’s surgery goes smoothly, and that he can hopefully return back to football before the QB2 takes his spot. But, why is Joe, Wynter’s biological father fighting so hard to keep Asher benched, and why does his MRI look horrible, but when she opened him up, there is minimal damage?

The book takes you on a whirlwind journey of love and loss, abandonment and betrayal. What is Joe’s endgame here, why does he want to all of a sudden be a part of Wynter’s life? And will Asher step up to the plate and be the father to Mason that Wynter was never able to experience, or will everything comes crashing down and flood into the spotlight and ruin everything before it even starts?

This book had me laughing and crying throughout the majority of it, and you will need to pick your jaw up off of the floor near the end! This love story will go down as one of my top 10 for sure!
