Glennon is the embodiment of the poet, the writer, the artist who struggled and learnt, in order to be able to preach wisdom forward. I love how her thoughts can make me feel a little unconfortable, because they are uncommon, but always true. G shows you the mirror and leaves the rest to you. For example, she depicts difficult feeling-scenario's as someone ringing the doorbell when you are not in the mood to get up (you were chilling in peace) – they ring, you open and find a package with valuable self-knowledge on the doorstep. Another: G calls the roles people identify themselves with with (mother, entrepreneur, leader) sandcasteles: they are beautiful, but you cannot live in them. Once the tide rises, it flushes. We can only be sandcastle builders, which means we can only 'be'. Short chapters based on difficult choices G made (I am not sure if I could ever be as wild as she).
For all life-hungry people to be read.
