To no one’s surprise, Jennifer Lynn Barnes kills it again!!!! How does this women’s mind work, she is truly amazing! JLB if you’re reading this just know I will buy every single book you write bc this series is TOO DAMN GOOD. My only reason for taking .25 points off my rating is my beloved Grayson falls wayyyy too quickly for whatever girl ends up in the family mystery’s. I loved his and Lyras stories but I wish there was more of a slow burn. What do you mean you’re telling her you’re falling in love with her after one day of seeing her in person. Other than that truly no complaints. I loved all of the mysteries in the book and actually found myself solving one or two which is not often lol. I kinda ship Gigi with Slate like love them together even though he literally kidnapped her but hey Stockholm Syndrome. Then them getting kidnapped with Eve by Zella & Calla (and they’re sisters WHATTT!!!) I do love the thought of a group of women taking down evil men aka the Lily, Omega & Monoclaures. I can’t wait for the next book to come out next year and see what happened to my fave girl Avery bc Jamie and I both need her. What I really loved about this book is that we saw more of the OG cast, I missed Avery and the Hawthorne brothers, as well as Alissa and Oren. I hope in the next book we get more POVs!
