I didn't hate it. I didn't love it. I think that maybe I wasn't in the right place for this novel at this time. It just wasn't clicking for me. The entire novel felt like a collection of stashed away quotes. I feel like the MC's constant reference to other writers, artists, philosophers etc. served to muddy the flow of the plot. The portrayal of depression throughout did ring true at times
