Slightly Scandalous
by Mary Balogh
Okay okay okay. So book one was marraige of convenience and this one is fake engagement and I am dying because they are my favorite cliches. I am up for these stories, no matter how many times I read them, because you know that they're going to make it work and be happy (I mean, you're reading a romance, so that's gonna happen anyway) but hooooooowwwwwwwww. When are they going to realize that they really love each other? Which one will admit it first? How's it going to happen?
So, take one of my favorite tropes, add in a bunch of siblings, a few cute kids, and put it all in the hands of one of my favorite writers and I am a happy chicken!
Read this book. Read it now. Also, one of the sisters has what I think is Down Syndrome, though of course it isn't called that. You don't see that frequently in romance novels, so I think that is a positive sign of diversity.
