Black Candle Women by Diane Marie Brown

Did not finish book. Stopped at 27%.

I thought this book had a lot of promise but I felt very distant from the characters and I didn’t like that no one would just tell Nickie the truth so that they could work together to break the curse. I thought the most compelling parts were the flashbacks but those came up so suddenly it left me reeling trying to catch up and figure out what time we were in. It could be this is better in the physical book but I didn’t connect with the characters enough to try to pick it up.
