I liked the name dropping and the historical elements of this novel, but I didn't really like the protagonist. There were parts of the novel that I felt were far too detailed, and other parts where I wished that the author had spent more time. Historically speaking, I think she led a remarkable life; however, if I hadn't done some additional research on her and only had the novel as a source of information, I would not have been impressed at all.
