Mastery: The Keys to Success and Long-Term Fulfillment by George Leonard

3.0

This is a classic book on personal growth and success, written originally as a magazine article, it was made into a book based on market interest in the article. It draws on martial arts and the practice of Aikido and describes a set of principles that govern what allows one to achieve the pinnacle of performance - Mastery - in a field.

The book is easy to read, however, it does feel like it was puffed up a bit to fit into a book form. The book was OK, but at times left me a bit bored, and in search of either some more scientific evidence or compelling stories to support the storyline. I think I would have preferred this as a long article instead of a book.

Note: I read this book about 9 years ago, this is my second read.
