I was in a bit of a reading rut but this was the perfect summer read. I found the women lovable and the descriptions of Nantucket were so vivid, it made me miss New England and crave seafood. I also thought the concept was unique. It was akin to a bachelorette party but all the women were dealing with much more serious life circumstances. Elin did a good job of reminding the audience that middle aged women can still be a bit messy and young at heart.
