The gasps I gusped while reading this... wow! The big twist was one I never saw coming!

Within the person 2% of the book, a sentence stuck out to me: "Marriages don't fail, people do." And this is very true, coming from someone who has been through a horrible marriage. You never truly know a person, even if you marry them.

From the start, this book had me hooked. I found the yearly anniversary letters very interesting and they give the reader a view into a marriage that outsiders don't typically get. There are always going to be struggles, but how much is shown to the world? How much of the trouble is between the two in the marriage of just one partner?

It was also very interesting to see how traumatic experiences can affect a person's memory. Adam, the husband in the book, has face blindness. Throughout the book, I was under the impression this was something he was born with. However, near the end, I began to wonder if it may have been a response to his mother dying.

I think this will be a book I read again in the future! It kept me hooked and wanting more!
