I'm Glad My Mom Died
by Jennette McCurdy
challenging
emotional
informative
sad
fast-paced
In Jeanette McCurdy’s memoir she discusses her experience as a child actor and the impact that her mother had on her childhood. McCurdy she’s light on her emotionally and physically abusive relationship with her mom. She is so open and raw about her experiences with her mom, acting, and her personal mental health.
I did however find that some of the language she used to describe her moms cancer was ablest. Which is why I read it four stars instead of five.
