Ares by Carly Spade
4.0
This series is such fun! Each book is so unique! This book follows Ares and Harm, and Harm is a professional fighter (Ares is too and also a bodyguard, subtle my man). I feel that with Harm, we got a great look into why she fights, where her anger comes from, etc. which was something I felt wasn't as well done in the last book. I enjoyed how both her and Ares's anger was addressed and how their instinctive violent reactions were explained but not necessarily justified (sometimes it was necessary). I loved how his godly role was explained and how he wasn't the god of destruction. Really cool perspective. Poor Harm is put through the ringer in this story by the gods/goddesses but she stands her ground so well. Their romance was well done and I love how Hades continues to be tied in here and there. I would love a story about Dionysus, he is such a great guy in this story!
