Stalking Jack the Ripper
by Kerri Maniscalco
Another one in a string of disappointments. Everything felt forced about this book, the pretentious overused language with some weird metaphors, whose only purpose was to once again shove down our throats how special and smart the heroine is, but really achieved the exact opposite; the insta-romance that popped up out of nowhere, with a character, who felt like a Frankenstein's monster hastily sewn from random literary heroes' traits; the non-existent plot, which consisted of tedious pseudo-feminist inner monologues and Audrie Rose doing stupid things, like going out alone at night for no coherent purpose at all; and is there even a point in going on? Better to use that time on looking for a book that will make you curl your toes.
