* Interesting premise
* Creepy setting (Scottish waters)
* Creepy kid (gotta love a creepy kid!)
* The pictures! This elevated the setting even more! (But, let's be honest, they are PICTURES. Still, a + for ambiance.)
* Eye roll for my least favorite trope at the end. Sure, it was hinted at, so it wasn't completely out of left field.
* A few sighs toward the end as well - it made me look up the gender of the author. Sure enough...
