The Sandman Vol. 4: Season of Mists by Neil Gaiman

3.0

It's such a pleasure to re-read this series. I last read the ten Sandman books about ten years ago. They were my introduction to graphic novels, and I remember being blown away. I still really enjoy them.

Book 4 starts out weak, but rapidly becomes more interesting as Morpheus finds himself as the keeper of the key to Hell. A multitude of deities converge in his realm, cajoling, threatening, and bribing him to give it to them. Who he eventually gives it to, and the ensuing Hell, is definitely something you have to experience for yourself.
