The main caracter of this book, Tanz, is an actress and a medium, and it feels there is a different plot for each. As an actress, Tanz is funny, possibly drinks too much, and finds herself in a lot of comic situations. As a medium, Tanz is more serious and tense, and the plot strays from comedy into crime fiction. I started reading for the light-hearted mood, and finished it in a rush wanting to know the end.
