Where should i start?
This series is very underrated it seems. I loved this book, the concept. the characters and the plot was woven so intricately that i was not able to keep the book down.
The base plot of Monsters and Humans trying to survive in a city , taking every opportunity to strike and survive is brilliant. the way the monsters were classified was neat.
The starting of the book will confuse you as we are introduced to this city named Verity where the power struggle between two faction is ongoing in midst of the monsters chaos. Each side has there Vendetta and there principles. And in between the chaos we have our main character August and Kate. I love these two, August is such an amazing and charming character on it's own who is seeking the world as first while kate has seen enough and just want to stay with her family and rule by her father's side.
Things take turn and August and Kate are thrown together where they discover companionship, friendship and an understanding between being a monster and a human with monster underneath.
The familia ties are shown for both of them and it is so opposite. I love August and His family, his father , mother, brother and sister, i love them all and the reason i was shocked at the turn of events at the end was how beautifully each character was molded in front of us .
