Black Stone Heart by Michael R. Fletcher

5.0

This book is a quick one and as one of my classic gripes go, it did pretty well without a major antagonist. Sure there were balancing parties in the equation of the book but none of them were overtly against the protagonist.

The book is an easy read with some really impressive lines that will astonish you with their simplicity. The story ticks many boxes of suspence and intrigue.

There is fucked up violence and a slow descent into madness where the author takes us and the characters along on a ride that gets crazier with every step. In the end, the reader also becomes a party to the evil that happens in the book and the reader finds nothing wrong with it either.

If that's not a master wordsmith at work, then I don't know what it.

A well deserved five stars. I'm waiting for book 2 now!!
