Mr. Spencer by TL Swan
3.0
I liked the drama in this one. Their relationship was anything but smooth sailing but not for the reasons I expected.
Spencer's wild situations were discussed in the first book so I had expected this book to be more of that. Fortunately, its not.
I liked Spencer's character. He is VERY honest, which is important for a man with his "reputation." He really helped Charlotte learn to stick up for herself. However, he is insensitive at times to Charlotte's feelings and I personally felt as if he expected more trust than he had immediately earned.
I also liked Charlotte's character throughout most of the book. Except at the end. She completely overreacted, in my opinion. She knew Spencer's history and was completely unable to handle it.
My biggest issue is the abrupt ending. So many areas of the book drug on, which I don't mind when I enjoy the characters. But when the ending is so abrupt and then jumps to "5 years later," I always feel cheated.
