Stay Close by Harlan Coben

4.0

Harlan Coban did a good job making the characters believable and interesting. Atlantic City is the location for this mystery. Megan is a mom with a past that her husband doesn’t know about. Her curiosity and nostalgia pulls her back to visit the club where she was a former dancer. This coincides with a murder and Detective Broom has to figure out what the connection with Megan/Cassie could be to the latest disappearance of a not so good guy. Cops on the take, mobsters, psychotic Barbie and Ken mob enforcers, the photographer who was jilted by Cassie. The story was well done and the twist at the end with Lorraine was a good one. Good humor interspersed as well
