Homer Price by Robert McCloskey
3.0

I remembered one of the stories in this book, about the out-of-control doughnut machine, read by a teacher in grade school decades ago. I think I enjoyed it more as a kid. Reading as an adult, Homer Price isn't as funny as, say Penrod, nor as good as Stuart Little or Tobey Tyler, but a bit of a nostalgia trip and a window into the era (1940s), and the illustrations are great.
