I feel like TOD balanced this book well in the tandem read. There was so much action happening in this book. 

As always, Rowan is amazing. Manon is incredible. All the characters are amazing. I just loved how developed everyone is by this book and the journeys they go on in each other’s plot lines. It just keeps getting better with so much character development happening. 

This book is a lot more plot focused overall rather than character driven. There are a few storylines like Lorcan that show character growth. But it feels like the book is packed with action more than character development. It was tense through so much of the book with danger around every corner.

I love how so much of Assassin’s Blade gets tied in to this books subplots. It feels like there is a lot more payoff to the stories than I was expecting and I’m glad that redeemed some of my feelings on AB.

The ending!!! I was blown away. What SJM did to some of the relationships was heartbreaking. I’m just so invested in how this can possibly end.
