So after thinking about this again I'll give it 4,5 instead of 5 and this is why: [SPOILER ALERT]
1. I just realized that almost at the end of the book, Roy is put to sleep, kidnapped and got drowned in the lake but then the fake-Jade said it's not her who did that and then who? Is this gonna be left out as mysterious ending or..? Because fr i need some closure, not only that because
2. The fake-Jade also said that some of the victims from that ball are also not her doings, tHEN WHO. Ngl i was waiting for the answers but it never came. And they didn't explain it in the epilogue whatsoever. I need some closureeee it really bothers me.
Other than those things, I really love this book. Gothikana is such a page turner I literally couldn't stop reading this. I got spooked few times too lol the book is really creepy and put me on the edge of my seat. The plot twists are also surprised me in the way that I never thought about all of that like all my theories are wrong I mean I know this is what plot twists are about but it was fun that way nonetheless. I like this book so much to the point that eventhough there's no smut I'll be fine because damn this book really got me hooked. Like man idc if they're not interacting enough bc this whole castle and its surrounding and all the mysteries are so fun and I want to know about them all.
Vad and Corvina are so damn hot. I like the fact that Runyx didn't go all weird about their age like in almost all student-teacher books, which they're usually just turned 18 and some even has the FL still 17eww. I like that Corvina is a whole ass adult and eventhough there's an age gap it didn't make me uncomfortable phew thanks God. Also I like that there's a backstory for their relationship, like there's a why about their relationship they have a nice foundation about their rs.

at the end Vad and Corvina also decided to stay in the castle right? Even gonna stay and live there with their kids. Isn't that gonna bother them...?2. “I see you.” His silver gaze seared her. “I’ve always seen you.”
He had always existed between the black and white when he played, and now he had brought her in that space with him, no longer alone in his existence.
“You’re the mountain I build my castle on, brick by brick,” she whispered to him, her eyes stinging. “You stand, I soar. You crack, I crumble.”
