Uncle Montague's Tales of Terror
by Chris Priestley
Id rather give 3.5 stars but i cant, so 3 stars it is.
Loved the style of writing, the metaphors 'whisperings like dead leaves' (love it, taking it, using it) and both characters were a joy to read and picture in my head. You know what im gonna lean my 3 stars into 4 instead.
Reminds me of Roald Dhal, another peculiar author I've enjoyed reading in my childhood and this book brought me back in a 'kid in ye old sweet shop' kind of way.
Would read again and recommend
