Before I had my daughter (and the need to read mainly ebooks) this book would’ve been read within days despite its length. It was such a satisfying end to a series I have wholeheartedly enjoyed. The idea to adapt fairytales is by no means new but this series was such a fresh take on that idea. Every book gave you a new character and new focus whilst maintaining the strands of story of others that had come before it. This final novel continued that theme and managed to tell its own engaging story whilst also weaving the strands together of those novels that came before it.
What really drew me in with these stories was the characters and their relationships. The emotional development of the characters was skillfully done and I really rooted for them all in their different ways. I also loved the different kinds of friendships exhibited throughout - all felt real, human and raw.
