Le deuxième livre d'une série que j'attendais avec TELLEMENT d'impatience !
Je dois avouer que c'était l'un des livres que j'attendais avec le plus d'impatience cette année et l'avoir avec deux mois d'avance ?? C'était comme Noël avant l'heure !
(Ce qui explique pourquoi je l'ai lu en une journée ou plutôt une nuit ><)
Ce que j'ai particulièrement aimé :
- l'univers qui est toujours aussi fascinant ! J'ai adoré découvrir bien sûr plus de détails sur le passé de Memnon mais j'ai aussi eu un coup de coeur pour la façon de vivre des sorcières (coup de coeur pour la nuit de Samhain !)
- les intrigues qui m'ont fasciné ! Après la fin du premier tome, j'étais hyper curieuse de savoir ce qui s'était réellement passé dans le passé ... Et je m'attendais PAS DU TOUT à ça ! (Horrible !) Et l'intrigue autour des meurtres était absolument horrible mais ça m'a aussi complètement happée !
- les personnages principaux qui sont toujours aussi cruellement attachants ! J'ai beaucoup aimé voir l'évolution de Selene qui a désormais retrouvé ses souvenirs et bien sûr j'ai un coup de coeur absolu pour Memnon qui est sexy et cruel ... Mais aussi étrangement adorable et romantique ><
- la romance MAIS LA ROMANCE PFIOULALA ! Laura Thalassa est une reine quand il s'agit d'écrire des romances avec des personnages moralement discutables et ici c'est une totale réussite ! J'ai adoré tout ce que fait Memnon pour reconquérir Selene et il est tellement romantique (et qui n'aime pas quand les héros sont cruels et prêts à tuer tout ce qui peut mettre en danger celle qu'ils aiment ??)
Et les scènes de sexe ... Pfiou !
- cette fin MAIS CETTE FIN ! Tellement machiavélique >< (la moitié du quartie a dû m'entendre couiner à 98% ><)
Bref, le deuxième tome d'une série envoutante que j'ai dévoré ! Pour les fans de Laura Thalassa, de sa série Bargainer ou plus largement des romances de fantasy avec des personnages délicieusement mauvais, je recommande =D

The second book in a series that I have been waiting for SO impatiently !
I must admit that this was one of the books I was most looking forward to this year and having it two months early ?? It was like Christmas before Christmas !
(Which explains why I read it in one day or rather one night ><)
What I particularly liked :
- the universe which is still so fascinating ! I loved discovering more details about Memnon's past, of course, but I also fell in love with the witches' way of life (special mention for Samhain night !)
- the plots that fascinated me ! After the end of the first book, I was super curious to know what really happened in the past ... And I wasn't expecting that AT ALL ! (Horrible !) And the plot around the murders was absolutely horrible but it also completely gripped me !
- the main characters who are still so cruelly endearing ! I really enjoyed seeing the evolution of Selene who has now regained her memories and of course I have an absolute crush on Memnon who is sexy and cruel ... But also strangely adorable and romantic ><
- the romance THE PFIOULALA ROMANCE ! Laura Thalassa is a queen when it comes to writing romances with morally grey characters and here it is a total success ! I loved everything Memnon did to win Selene back and he is so romantic (and who doesn't love it when heroes are cruel and willing to kill anything that can endanger the one they love ??)
And the sex scenes ... Phew !
- this end BUT THIS END ! So Machiavellian >< (half the neighborhood must have heard me squeal at 98% ><)
In short, the second book of a captivating series that I devoured ! For fans of Laura Thalassa, her Bargainer series or more generally fantasy romances with deliciously bad characters, I recommend it =D
