I know this book gets a bit of hate but I truly enjoyed reading Too Late. It’s very dramatic, intense, and thrilling. I couldn’t put this book down and I had to find out what would happen next.

I will say that I didn’t like the use of mental illness within this book but then again, I’m not the author. I could see how the author wanted to use this angle to show how Asa would use it to his benefit since he is smart and plans out everything.

I loved how Solan and Carter’s (Luke) relationship formed. It’s a very quick and instant love but it all worked out. I’m a sucker for love at first sight tropes and this book has it. It’s also a slow burn but the spice is within the book and part of it. I’ll rate the spice level a 3 because of that.

I will say that this book is more on a real life story telling even though it’s a work of fiction. There’s some abuse that does take place (relationship and drugs) and if that is a trigger for you, please don’t read this book.
