i loved the seven husbands of evelyn hugo by this author and i knew i’d love this book cos i’ve heard about it for years. i’m so glad i finally read it.

the characters were each so damn intricate and well developed. each and every one of them. they all had something going on for them. at first i was a bit confused cos there are quite a few characters but by the end i was so invested.
i don’t think i have any favourite characters, they were all interesting and complicated in their own ways. the band members, that is.

i also fell in love with the writing style. the interview type thing really made me connect with these people and go through things as if they were talking to me, telling their stories just for me. it was brilliant.

the reason i didn’t give it full 5 stars was because the 2/2 half of the book did get a bit repetitive and dragged just a little bit, but other than that, i loved it. i love a good character study book and i love reading about famous people in hollywood. i highly recommend reading this if you haven’t already!
