John Dickson cooked with this retelling of Christian history, and the reviews from seminal figures in today's church back it up. This was the first time I properly read about important church figures, and the book holds an important truth - the meteoric impact of Christ in raising up generation after generation of Christians, most who sing the same beautiful tune of the Gospel. It reads history for us in an objective, precise, but conversational, humble and metafictive flow, and I reckon it's readable even for the staunch atheist. Important stuff to know to back up the church, and more importantly Christ.
