I enjoyed this book a lot! The story had a good amount of tension to keep me interested and the author did a beautiful job setting the scenes of the world. My imagination was able to paint a vivid picture of all the characters and landscapes. I liked the magic system and the folklore of the Island of Cadence. The characters were interesting enough to engage me in the story, though I found myself more interested in the side characters of Sidra and Torin than the main MC and FMC lol. I liked Sidra’s character a lot.
Listened to the audiobook for this one, the Ruth Urquhart did a great job!
