My first 5 star read for a bit. Another haunting and moving novel from the author. I never felt my interest wain throughout. Her prose seems effortless. The characters are vividly portrayed. Even Wilder’s father, who says little and flits in and out, is so well realised. The main characters are all engaging and sympathetic in their way. The ending/s is/are a bit mind-bending!
