The Conspiracy of Us by Maggie Hall

4.0

Maybe a 3.75.

I'm glad that this book was definitely more of a secret society book than a flat out political storyline. I tend to loathe political books.

I'm surprised by how much I liked the vibe of this book and the characters. I'm not shocked that there is somewhat of a love triangle (so beware if you hate that trope)... but I did feel like this book does steer you a bit in the direction of who the author wants you to fall for, but not in an aggressive way like Twilight. I felt with Twilight, the books are very obvious that Bella will end up with Edward, whereas with The Conspiracy if Us, both men are intriguing.

I’m intrigued where this story will go, but I have a feeling I won’t like the second installment on this trilogy.
