dorothy_dickerson 's review for:
A Quest of Heroes
by Morgan Rice
I made it to 80% before finally just stopping. I couldn't anymore...
There's no way this is a best seller. Instead of paying to promote it as a bestseller, the author would have done better to get an editor. The errors, the needless repetition. Setting it on some fantasy planet with several suns (How Star Wars of you) but having familiar earth animals and a distinct King Arthur feel. WHY?! And like 17 books in the series all published a little over a year? There's no way I'm suffering through all that. I just read the synopses of nine of them and some of the reviews before stopping that. My prayers to the readers who read that much and still didn't know why they were still reading.
What's sad is that I could see how this could have been a fun YA series. Cut back on the fat, make the series abridged with time skips between section, a few other fixes, and you'd have a few 500-600 page books(compared to the roughly 250 pages of at least this first one).
