Foe by Iain Reid
4.0
I enjoyed this but I wonder if it would have been better as a short story since it dragged in the middle. Most of the book is just the same three characters in a remote farmhouse with odd vibes. I enjoyed the mystery of what was happening and felt satisfied (rather than frustrated) that I figured it out before the reveal. I think it would be interesting to re-read this with the knowledge of how it ends.
Based on what I'd heard, I was surprised that this book is told from the husband's perspective for the whole book. If anything is going to stick with me about this book, it is what this book explores in terms of the husband/wife's relationship...
