OMG, how I wanted to love this. I love basketball in my mm romance. I am a big fan so love the games, the terms, the suspense of the games all wrapped up in some smexy between two guys. Unfortunately this frustrated me to no end! So much TELLING! Wanted to throw my Kindle against the wall. Long passages of what each character was thinking without showing me through actions. Liked Kyle and Micah. Two lovely college guys - Kyle, a star basketball player who is deeply closeted. Doesn't know how to tell his dad or his teammates and worries about the fall out if he tells the world he is gay. Micah, a struggling pre-med student who is out and proud and coming off of a breakup. Micah needs to work since his scholarship dried up and needs a new roommate. He moves in with Kyle. They spend FOREVER checking each other out until one fateful day when things change. You know when you keep checking the % read in your Kindle that you are in trouble. Took me 4 days to read a 210 page book. So liked the situation, the MCs but just could not abide the writing.
