Kaspar: Prince of Cats by Michael Morpurgo

4.0

MIchael Morpurgo writes such excellent historical fiction for children that it's hard to think of anything to say.

This book takes us eventually from the Savoy Hotel in London to the voyage of the Titanic, and along the way it tells us of class differences and ways of living a hundred years ago, as well as of friendship and of bravery. Kaspar is what binds it together, but it's really about Johnny and his journey. A great story.
