Genorosity. Love. Kindess. Home.
I love reading and hearing stories about people and families from other cultures.
This is the story of a little girl and her Mom from Syria who come to live in America in the height of unrest in their country.
They go through so much adjustment and hard situations as they are making America their home. It is a good reminder that everyone has a story and everyone deserves a chance to be heard and understood.
It was a super fast MG read, coming home story. Boys might like this story but I feel like girls would understand it better. Loved the ESL content in it and I reminded me of why I love to teach these students.
