I liked the characters and their weird hobbies and quirks, and the entertaining Julia Quinn dialogue. I liked the subversion to typical romance plot elements around military service. I did not like Billie being "not like other girls" and being so stereotypically beautiful and captivating without knowing it. I also didn't like that Billie was set up to have a best female friend who was in the book for a hot second before becoming forgotten. Overall, decent read but meh.
