Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes by Eleanor Coerr

4.0

Sad short story, but also filled with hope at the same time. I would recommend this to a very young audience that may be expierencing grief for the first time. It is powerful, but also very melancholy throughout. Be prepared to at least have a few tears well up on the side of your eyes wishing to be set free when you get further into the story.
