Class: A Memoir of Motherhood, Hunger, and Higher Education
by Stephanie Land
Yikes, this one did not sit well with me. Her choices seemed very poor and irresponsible, most of the other reviews point those out. I enjoyed her other book, but her true character showed in this one. Seemed like a lot of blame was being thrown around while she was making the worst decisions for herself and kids but hey- 35 is never too late to make mistakes and to learn right?
I do have to give her credit though- she openly admits to buying underaged teens and young adults alcohol in exchange for watching her kid- which is insanely bold. Oh! And let’s not forget she even includes a little snippet on ‘soaking’. If you don’t know what that is- keep it that way, you’re better off.
