I really, positively didn't think Ruby Redfort could get any better...until I read this instalment of the series.
Ruby Redfort has always been one of my favourite series as it's quirky, fun and holds a great mystery and many subplots as well. The series has gotten better each book and I am so pleased, once again, to say that 'Blink and You Die' is finally my favourite. Every mystery was tied together perfectly. The book was engrossing and couldn't be put down. Without spoiling anything, the 'mole' that has been mulled over in previous books is very unexpected and kept me guessing until the last minute. As always, Lauren Child's writing is so comforting and witty and I enjoyed being transported back to the lives of people such as Ruby, Clancy and even the Count.
I am really sad to see this series go as Ruby and her friends in Twinford have been a place I can escape to and enjoy reading. I would recommend this series to anyone looking for an adventure mystery that is eccentric and lively, bringing a smile to your face.
