Its really amazing to see how a book like this is timeless. So many parallels to modern day USA. So many tense moments with people of power and the constant struggle of trying to make it as an immigrant. Karl made me mad because I wanted him to be free so badly. Kafkas imagery strongly kept me reading, such vivid scenes especially the apartment and theatre.
