Not a traditional novel in the sense of a single character with a story arc; more like an imagined oral history of the coming climate crisis and how the world might respond to it. I enjoyed the 1st person sections from the POV of different concepts, which enlivened all the technical details. These future-science solutions were interesting; the depictions of crises involving; and the whole thing extremely thought-provoking. I do think this is an important book to help further the discussion of how we need to deal with our climate crisis, although it’s probably best enjoyed in small doses because it’s so filled with ideas.
