I loved her first book. This one — it was fine. I figured it out way too quickly— I wish there would have been more of a surprise about where it was going and who was involved. I also think it wrapped up a crime with another crime (not my favorite) and totally glazed over some key plot points early in the story. On the positive side, the convict ship history was really interesting.
