Amazing. Wonderful. Magnificent. This book is quite frankly, one of the best things I have ever read and I do not take that lightly. I was hooked the whole way through as we watched these traumatized teenagers overcome a plethora of their own problems and their external obstacles to achieve their goals. Every character is morally grey which is often rare to find, particularly in YA fiction. And they all feel like well rounded, real people. Similarly, the world feels very realistic and the atmospheric experience of reading this really immerses you in the story. Despite this being a slower paced story, it still engages the reader through the character's inner thoughts. Overall, this is a very solid book.
