I read Divine Rivals as a precursor to Ruthless Vows as part of a reading challenge (read a sequel). I went into this book knowing nothing about it nor expecting to like it as much as I actually did. I judge books pretty harshly so if something receives a 4 star rating then I really enjoyed it.
I read on via KU and listened via Libby to this book as I live a pretty busy life and sometimes have to rely on audio books to get through books within a timely manner. I can say I thoroughly enjoyed the audio version of this book and reading it on my own. The narrators were wonderful and I could listen to them read all day. The book itself was well written and I loved that the characters had significant growth throughout. I also appreciated that the author didn't jump straight to lust and allowed the character to naturally evolve. I feel as thought Iris and Kitt were written well and that we were able to see many layers of each character. Even the support characters seemed to add to their personalities instead of being a after thought that was just thrown in to fill in the pages.
Overall this was a very pleasant read and I cannot wait to move on to the next installation in the series!
