Whelp, I finally did it. I finally read the book and started the series. And let me tell you, I was disappointed in myself for not starting this sooner. I could not put the book down. I flew through it in a weekend and was completely entranced in the writing style and brought into the story. It 100% lived up to the hype around it and reminded me why I fell in love with Throne of Glass and Sarah J. Maas years ago.
I liked the ability to learn about all the characters personalities even when they played a minor part or weren’t one of the main characters. It was one of the things that help draw me in, they were relatable, and you felt connected to them. I also liked the balance between enemies to lovers, the actuality of building a foundation for the relationship and friendships. The book was a light quick read and I’m ready to enter the realm again.
