Mister B. Gone by Clive Barker

1.0

I like Clive Barker's work with film and saw this book mentioned on a list of good books about unreliable narrators. How funny then that the recommendation was unreliable. This is simply rubbish.

I can see how this would work better in a cinematic sense. A demon pleads to have his book burnt between the takes of plot. On screen, it would be decent. Here it gets downright obnoxious, made worse by the fact that I read this on a Kindle, thus ruining the conceit. What started out as interesting very quickly became tedious and boring.
